Ways Alum Can Help Support the Cookie Season

Mystery House

Once booth sales start, girls rely heavily on selling cookies in front of stores, and we want to encourage them also to continue selling “door-to-door!”  You can help!  Sign up to be a Mystery House, and when a girl visits your house, take her name and troop number and we’ll send her a certificate and patch!  By being a Mystery House, you are supporting best practices for cookie sales.  We can also email you the certificate for girls – just let us know!

Cookie Cupboard Help

Cookie Cupboards hold pallets and cases of cookies for when girls have sold their inventory and are ready to sell even more cookies.  We have a cupboard located at Applied Medical’s warehouse across the street from our GSOC headquarters in Irvine and need volunteers to help pass out cases of cookies to troops.  The hours of help needed are from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and/or Thursday’s from February 1 – March 8, 2018. Any and all hours of help are needed.  Contact Cassie Owens at cowens@girlscoutsoc.org or 949-461-8849

Booth Angels

When troops start their booth sales in front of local stores on February 16, you have the opportunity to put their skills to the test.  By being a Booth Angel, you will be armed with materials to ask Girl Scouts the right questions and then congratulate them on their goals, booth creativity, knowledge, and skills connected to the cookie program.  With no obligation to purchase cookies, it is an easy and rewarding way to cheer Girl scouts on as they develop important skills.  To become a Booth Angel, contact Cassie Owens at 949-461-8849 or cowens@girlscoutsoc.org

Check In at Girl Recognition Event

After the cookie sale, girls receive prizes and recognition for their accomplishments.  One of the recognition events is a fun day at Dave & Busters in Irvine.  As girls tend to arrive all at once, we could use a few more hands at check-in.  The event is Saturday April 21, 2018 in the morning.  If you are available to help, please contact Cassie Owens at cowens@girlscoutsoc.org or 949-461-8849.

To RSVP for your attendance or to inquire about additional information, contact Kyra Pelachik.  If you would like to visit an upcoming event that is not listed below but know about it, please contact Kyra as well. All activities require our RSVP, so please give enough notice for us to contact the troop or group.
