We believe Girl Scout camp provides amazing opportunities for girls to not only develop and grow a love for the great outdoors, but to build courage and confidence all while meeting new friends that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to see you all at camp!

Don’t forget, registration deadlines are two weeks before a session starts. Register early to reserve your spot!

Girl Scout Registration

Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Email is the main form of camp communication, so please be sure to provide an email address you actively use. 

To pay for your 2018 Weekend Camp or 2018 Summer Resident Camp remaining balance please click here for the Doubleknot login page. 

All camper packets and forms are sent via email for Weekend and Summer Resident Camp. Please make sure to use an active email address while registering for camp.

Non-Girl Scout Registration

All girls are welcome at camp, regardless of their scouting background. During the camp registration process girls who are not already registered as Girl Scouts will be asked to register and pay the $35 membership before they attend camp. All campers will have opportunities to earn Girl Scout badges and recognitions through a variety of fun and meaningful activities.

Day Camp registration and fees will vary from camp to camp.

Medical History

All resident camps in Southern California require summer resident campers to have had a physical examination within the past two years. A Health History form and details will be provided in your parent information packet, which will be emailed after the deposit has been paid.

All forms must be completed with signatures from parents and physicians and brought with the camper to the bus. Health History forms are required for any camper not attending camp with a parent or guardian.

Camp Fees

Day Camp
Day Camps are volunteer-led and as such, registration processes and fees may vary from camp to camp. Explore Day Camps and select a day camp to learn more about costs and registration.

Weekend Camp
Fees range between $50 - $180 per person for weekend camp, depending on the camp. Explore Weekend Camps to learn more.

Summer Resident Camp
Fees for attending Summer Resident Camp at Camp Scherman are largely subsidized by Girl Scouts of Orange County to keep life-changing camp experiences accessible to all Girl Scout families. All girls have the same unforgettable camp experieince, regardless of pricing tier.

Our three-tiered pricing program enables families to see the actual “per girl” cost (Tier 3) to operate Camp Scherman and choose from three pricing tiers. Please choose the fee plan most appropriate for your family’s financial circumstances.

Financial Aid

At Girl Scouts, we believe that camp is for every girl. And thanks to our generous donors we’re thrilled to be able to offer financial assistance to those that qualify in order to give more girls the opportunity to experience Girl Scout camp.

Financial assistance is available for girls who qualify and submit a campership application.

Use the online registration system to make your deposit and submit the Financial Assistance Application separately to our office. 

Please note:  You must register online before your Financial Assistance Application will be processed. Notification of financial assistance granted will be made within three weeks of submission. If Financial Assistance is requested, Cookie Dough will be applied first.

Cookie Dough, OC Bucks, and Juliette Dollars

Girls who earned Cookie Dough, OC Bucks, or Juliette Dollars through the Girl Scout Fall Product or Cookie Program can apply their balance to help pay for girl participation at Camp Scherman. You can even use it to purchase camp merchandise in the GSOC Shop. ​

To redeem "Cookie Dough" for Camp Scherman, you must first register online and pay the deposit. Next, click here and complete the Reimbursement Form online. The amount submitted will be applied to the existing order.  Any remaining balance due may be paid online.

* If submitting cookie dough for the full amount of a weekend camp, you will be reimbursed after attendance is confirmed. Cookie Dough will not be reimbursed for non-attendance.

Please note: If Financial Assistance is requested, Cookie Dough will be applied first. Cookie Dough is nontransferable to adults or other girls.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you would like to cancel or receive a refund, a written request is required. Please email your request to Customer Care or mail your request to GSOC. Please include the full names of those who cannot attend, the camp program name and the camp date.

All sesssions are held in rain, sleet, sunshine, etc. unless the determination is made that conditions are unsafe. GSOC reserves the right to cancel a camp session due to low registration.  If the session is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

*Additional Summer Camp Refund Policy: If a camper cannot be placed in any of her selected sessions, a full refund will be issued. If a camper returns home early due to homesickness, unacceptable behavior or upon parental request, a refund will not be issued. If a camper leaves early for illness or injury, any refund will be prorated. Parents/guardians are responsible for making all travel arrangements if a camper leaves early. Refund requests must be made in writing and received by council within two weeks of departure from camp.

About Camp Scherman: Located in the San Jacinto Mountains, Camp Scherman has been a special place for Orange County’s Girl Scouts for over 50 years.

Under the soaring Jeffrey Pines (that smell like butterscotch!), girls take on new challenges, learn to collaborate with others, become self-reliant, and develop leadership skills. Whether she’s hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, playing games in the pool with friends, kayaking across the lake, or participating in camp’s many timeless traditions, there are endless possibilities for her to connect with nature and discover the greatness within herself.
